  • Chevron Carmel Car Wash, Monterey Road, 9:39 a.m. Someone broke into the coin machine of the air and water pump.

Identity theft

  • Claremont Court, 4:48 p.m. A resident reported someone used his information to purchase a vehicle in Los Angeles.

Threats

  • Ciolino Avenue, 5:20 p.m. A resident reported the father of her child is threatening to kill her and also telling the child he will kill her mother.

Battery

  • Central High School, Monterey Road, 7:24 p.m. A student was hit in the face by another female in front of the school earlier in the day.

Vandalism

  • Local Three Operators, Digital Drive, 6:39 a.m. Someone threw a rock through a window of the business overnight.

Petty theft

  • Dunne Avenue, 1:07 p.m. Checks were stolen from a car while it was parked at Dunne Avenue and Monterey Road between Aug. 26 and 29.

  • Rite Aid, Monterey Road, 3:55 p.m. A female was shoplifting at the business.

Auto burglary

  • New courthouse, Diana Avenue, 10:42 a.m. Someone broke into a Ford Ranger parked at the construction site. A window was shattered, and a wallet was stolen from the glove box.

Auto burglary

  • Rosy’s at the Beach, Monterey Road, 12:29 a.m. A restaurant employee reported a Toyota 4Runner parked in the lot to the rear of the restaurant was broken into. The window was shattered, and another employee’s car was broken into earlier but not reported to police at that time.

Stolen vehicle

  • Village Avante Apartment Homes, Del Monte Avenue, 4:40 a.m. A resident reported a Nissan Frontier was stolen overnight.

  • Brendan M. Maloney, 21, Oct. 26, 5:51 p.m. on Cochrane Road, on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance.

  • Thomas R. Roth, 18, Oct. 27, 2:52 a.m. on Diana Avenue, on suspicion of driving under the influence.

  • Rafael Marquez, 28, Oct. 27, 1:04 p.m. on Monterey Road, on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance.

  • Armando R. Chavira, 45, Oct. 29, 5:05 p.m. on West Central Avenue, on suspicion of being drunk in public.
