Auto burglary
- The Meadows, Del Monte Lane, 12:41 p.m. A resident reported the convertible top of a Mazda Miata was slashed, and groceries were stolen from the trunk of the car.

Cinelux Theaters, Tennant Station Way, 9:14 p.m. A Mercedes was broken into while parked at the theater. A window was shattered, and a purse was stolen.
Nov. 26
Grand theft
- Barrett Avenue, 7:44 a.m. A fireplace and two electrical panels were stolen from a construction site for an estimated loss of $1,500.
Burglary
- PG&E substation, West Main Avenue, 8:06 a.m. Someone broke into the yard through the fence and stole several gas-powered tools from the locked equipment boxes in the back of the work trucks. Chainsaws and gas drills were stolen.
Vandalism
- Bisceglia Avenue, 9:37 a.m. The windshield of a truck at the residence was shattered overnight.
Nov. 27
Petty theft
- Toktam Design Company, East First street, 7:47 a.m. Seven large metal decorations were stolen from the front of the business overnight. Tables and chairs have been stolen in the past, then later returned, and someone has damaged outside lights, flower post and ceramic decorations.
Burglary
- Avenida de Los Padres, 8:09 a.m. Copper valued at $4,000-5,000 was stolen from a construction site overnight.

Target store, Cochrane Road, 2:35 p.m. Someone broke into showcases in the store and stole electronic equipment on Nov. 1. A suspect was caught on videotape.
Auto burglary
- Paradise Valley School, La Crosse Drive, 9:24 a.m. Someone stole a money bag and a purse from an unlocked car parked at the school. The bank bag contained $1,500, and the purse contained $2,500 and credit cards.

Bentley Drive, 11:44 a.m. A resident reported someone stole prescription sunglasses, a satellite radio and headset from an unlocked car.
Vandalism
- DeWitt Avenue, 6:12 p.m. A resident reported someone threw some kind of “device” on his Ford Excursion overnight, and the device exploded and burned the glass. He also told police his residence and his vehicle have been egged five or six times over the last four months.

New courthouse construction site, Diana Avenue, 6:42 p.m. Two juveniles were spotted after a rock was thrown through a window of the building under construction. The fence surrounding the site has also been tampered with. A security guard on the scene chased the juveniles from the site.

Forgery
- Samantha Klaver, 22, of the 10600 block of Carolyn Court, 12:25 p.m. Nov. 17, near the intersection of Ferguson Road and Leavesley Avenue for forgery. Klaver admitted to stealing two checks, forging the owner’s signature and cashing them for $60 each at Washington Mutual Bank.
Possession of narcotics
- Jason Alexander Flores, 28, of the 18200 block of Half Avenue in Morgan Hill, 7:40 p.m. Nov. 13, near the intersection of Farrell Avenue and Monterey Road for possession of narcotics.
Driving under the influence
- Jorge Tuletino Garcia, 33, of the 600 block of Tatum Avenue, 11:40 p.m. Tuesday, near the intersection of Monterey and Eighth streets for driving under the influence and driving without a license.

David Lopez, 24, of the 1300 block of Dogwood Way in Morgan Hill, 3:17 a.m. Nov. 22, near the intersection of Crest Avenue and Main Street in Morgan Hill for driving under the influence and driving without a license.

Harassing phone calls
- A 46-year-old known male suspect called an ex-girlfriend’s cell phone 30 to 40 times and left obscene and harassing messages, between 8 a.m. Nov. 13 and 3:30 p.m. Nov. 20. The front and rear driver-side tires on the woman’s white 1989 Nissan were vandalized, causing $80 in damage, during the same period.
Unattended death
- A 70-year-old woman was found by a man lying on a floor unconscious and not breathing, 5:32 a.m. Nov. 17. When emergency crews arrived at the house near the intersection of Miramonte Avenue and Dougherty Avenue in Morgan Hill, they pronounced her dead. Though there were no signs of struggle or trauma, the cause of death is undetermined so far.
Recovered stolen vehicle
- Sheriff’s deputies found a gray 1987 Honda Accord, reported stolen out of San Jose, near the intersection of Church Street and Las Animas Road, 2:19 a.m. Nov. 21.

Sheriff’s deputies found a black 2998 Cadillac DeVille, reported stolen in Gilroy just 30 minutes earlier, at Rotten Robbie, 390 Leavesley Road, 7:55 p.m. Nov. 14.
Attempted burglary
- Using a pry tool, a suspect or suspects tried to open a window on the front of a residence near the intersection of Windemere Court and Cochrane Road in Morgan Hill, between 11:30 Nov. 21 and 8 a.m. Nov. 22. The victims were at home asleep, but the suspect or suspects did not gain entry.
Vehicle theft
- A white 2006 Ford F250 with unlocked doors, ignition keys on the front seat and several thousand dollars worth of construction tools was stolen from the driveway of a house at 4700 Little Uvas Road in Morgan Hill, between 12 and 10 p.m. Nov. 22.
Petty theft
- A mailbox was pried open and mail, including a credit card bill, was stolen from outside a residence near the intersection of Oak Glen Avenue and Uvas Road in Morgan Hill, between 12 p.m. Nov. 14 and 12 p.m. Nov. 16.

Checks were stolen out of a mailbox at a residence near the intersection of Renaissance Court and Foothill Avenue in San Martin, between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Nov. 7. The checks were then found forged in anther city.
Residential burglary
- A laptop valued at $1,500 was stolen from a residence at 500 block of Bolsa Road while the resident was out, between 5 p.m. Friday and 1 a.m. Saturday. The suspect or suspects got into the house through a bathroom window.

Jewelry valued at $100 was stolen from a residence near the intersection of Sycamore and Church avenues in San Martin, between 9 a.m. Nov. 21 and 8:45 p.m. Saturday. The suspect or suspects broke the front window to get into the house, then searched several areas in the house.
Suicide
- A 42-year-old man told a woman that he was going to play Russian Roulette and went into a bedroom in a house near the intersection of Monterey Highway and Blanchard Road. The woman then heard a loud bang, entered the room and found a semi-automatic pistol on the floor next to the man, who was bleeding from his head, 10:43 p.m. Sunday.
