successful weekend Oct. 6-7, at the Red Line 500 meet at Stanford
University.
Morgan Hill – Champions Academy Gymnastics had another successful weekend Oct. 6-7, at the Red Line 500 meet at Stanford University.
The level four girls’ consistency is paying off, with both Alexandra Dudschus and Nikki Barsanti winning first place All-Around for the second week in a row in their respective divisions.
Dudschus also placed third on bars, second on beam and first on floor.
Barsanti placed third on vault, first on bars, third on beam and second on floor.
Romina Gupta rounded out the level four girls with a sixth place finish in the All-Around.
The level five girls also did well, taking second place in the team competition, as well as winning many individual awards. Shiina Suarez claimed the All-Around title in her division, as well as first place on vault, first place on bars, second place on beam, and second place on floor.
In the same division Meghan Connolly took third place on vault and third place on floor.
Adding to the levelfive titles, Caitie Shannon placed first All-Around in her division, first on bars, first onbeam, second on floor and third on vault.
The level six girls faced tough competition, but still claimed individual trips to the podium.
Maddie Miller placed first on bars, and Rachel Hart placed third on bars.
The level five and six girls have one more chance to face local competition before heading to the Zone championships on Nov. 4.
