The Morgan Hill Pinto A All-Star team will host to the Pony Baseball sectional tournament July 7-14 at Britton Middle School.
This six team double-elimination tournament will showcase some of the top youth baseball teams from around the Bay Area.
The Morgan Hill Gold All-Star team managed by Mac Jones will co-host the tournament.
The A All-Star team managed by Brian Bantilan, and coached by Rick Martinez and Carl Hughes features the top Pinto players from Morgan Hill.
Coach Hughes is looking forward to the upcoming tournament, and expects his team to do well.
“Our boys play under extreme pressure all year,” Hughes said. “They should make their family and the rest of Morgan Hill proud.”
Pinto Green All-Stars
The Morgan Hill Green Pinto All-Star team will be playing in two tournaments during the 4th of July week. They will be playing in the prestigious Fremont Baseball Incorporated 4th of July Tournament in Fremont from June 30 to July 4th.
Following that tournament they will be playing in the 2007 Pony League sectional tournament in San Jose.
The tournament is hosted by Blossom Valley Pony and is known to feature the best talent in Northern California.
Morgan Hill drew a first round bye in this tournament and will play at 1pm on Sunday July 8 in the second round.
