– At the Wednesday meeting of the Morgan Hill Photography Club, professional photographer Don Smith will speak on night photography; including shooting the full moon and capturing star trails. In addition to being the official photographer of the San Jose Sharks, Smith is a prominent workshop leader, writer and landscape photographer. The meeting starts at 7 p.m. at the Centennial Recreation Center, 171 W Edmundson Ave. The public is welcome.

Flower lovers meet

Golf for Crohn’s

– The first Eli’s Crohn’s Crushers Golf Tournament is scheduled for Friday, at Eagle Ridge Golf Course, 2951 Club Drive, Gilroy. The cost is $160 per person if registered before Aug. 26, $180 after. Registration includes 18-holes of golf with a cart, lunch, dinner, range balls and gifts. Sponsorships are also available.

Volunteer MH Faire

– Help create a better community by serving one another. Volunteers in the Morgan Hill area are needed to help public safety groups, assist in community events, family and non-profit health organizations and more. Take a moonlight horseback ride

– Bring your horse and join Henry Coe’s mounted patrol volunteers in a ride that celebrates the beauty of Henry Coe Park at night. The ride is about two hours and begins at 7 p.m. Saturday, with a potluck at 6 p.m., followed by the moonlight ride. Rain will cancel. Italian Harvest Festa and car show

– The Italian Harvest Festa will feature live music and entertainment from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Uesugi Farms, 14485 Monterey Road, Morgan Hill. Dance to music by Tarantella, enjoy Italian Opera or try your hand at Bocce Ball. Browse vehicles in the all Italian car and truck show on Sept. 10 and the motorcycle show on Sept. 11. Parking is $5. Learn all about the local AAUW

– Join the Morgan Hill Branch of the American Association of University Women at its Fall Membership Brunch at 11 a.m. Sunday. The group will be celebrating 100 years of California Woman Suffrage. Cancer support group meets

– A free, drop-in group meets the first and third Wednesdays of the month for 90 minutes beginning at 5:30 p.m. The meetings are open to anyone who has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
