On February 20th, 2014 Our Heavenly Savior called David Lespron Esquivel home. Waiting for him were his Loving Wife Yolanda Garcia Esquivel, his parents, David and Ofelia Esquivel, and his brother, Eric James.
He is survived by his children David and Eunice. Grandchildren, Yolanda (Migs the Peg), David IV (The Li), Mya (The My), and his foster children, Gene and George Spaulding, and Kelly Ybarra. He is also survived by his sisters, Priscilla, Lucy, Judy, Sylvia, Alice, Estella, Dolores, and Karen Esquivel, as well as Gloria and Sylvia Wyatt. His brothers, Danny, Tommy, and Wayne Esquivel are also survived by him.
David was born in Tucson, Arizona on February 9th, 1950. He would often play in the desert with his siblings- through this, his love for nature and the outdoors had developed. In July of 1964 his family migrated to California, where he later met the love of his life, Yolanda Garcia. They married December, 1970. A year later they had their son David, and thinking they would not be able to have more children, they became foster parents to Gene, George and Kelly. In 1983, their daughter Eunice was born. In 1985, he lost the love of his life and remained faithful to her as he was to the Lord until his death. The prides and joys of his life began to arrive in 1989 with the birth of his first granddaughter Yolanda, his grandson David IV and his granddaughter, Mya.
He worked with great pride as Head Draftsman/Engineer for Pac Si Quantic formally known as Holex, for over 30 years. He was a song leader and Sunday School Teacher for many years at the Spanish First Baptist Church of Maple Street in Gilroy. He later joined Trinity Bible Church now in Morgan Hill and was a faithful worshiper despite his failing health. His favorite past times included photography, picnics, hunting, listening to music, going to church events, telling jokes, and giving nicknames. He will be greatly missed by numerous nieces and nephews and many great friends. His family was his life.
