The UXWF offers the best in the world of independent wrestling, combining hard-hitting wrestling action with creative story-lines and some of the most talented wrestlers anywhere. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased at the door. Doors open at 7pm.

Junior Warriors basketball
The Junior Warriors Basketball League is holding instructional open gym every Thursday night at Crossroad Christian School on Wright Road from 7-8:30. for all 6th-9th grade boys and girls. All are welcome to improve your game before your season starts. Cost is $25 for seven weeks.

Gavilan golf tourney, alumni game
On Friday, Oct. 8, the Gavilan College Baseball program will sponsor a Golf Tournament fundraiser at the Gilroy Golf Course. The tourney will include a noon shotgun start. All alumni, players and supporters are invited to sign up for the event. All proceeds benefit the Rams baseball program.
The following day, on Saturday, Oct. 9, the Gavilan baseball program will host an Alumni Baseball Game set for the “Home of the Rams,” the Gavilan College baseball field. The game is scheduled for a noon first pitch and Gavilan baseball coach Neal Andrade said longtime Coach Bob Nickerson’s jersey will be retired at the game. All former Gavilan baseball players are invited to play, and all program backers are encouraged to attend.

MH Aquatics Center special events cancelled
The Morgan HillF Aquatics Center recently announced that the Food, Family and Fun, Dive-in Movie and Teen Howl special events have been cancelled. However, the center is still offering afternoon swim lessons Monday-Thursday afternoons and Saturday mornings. Each session includes eight lessons. Fees are $54 for residents and $64 for non-residents. Recreation swimming will be held Saturdays and Sundays noon-6pm. Lap swimming will be offered Monday-Friday 5:30-9:30am, 11:30am-1:30pm and 4-7:30pm, and on Saturday and Sunday 7-10am. Roller Derby
The Bay Bombers will be in Action with the roller derby World Champion Brooklyn Red Devils for the Championship Title Saturday, Oct. 9 at the San Jose Civic Auditorium. The match begins at 8 pm. The Bay Bombers hope to bring the title back to the Bay Area.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children in advance. At the door prices are $20 for adults and $10 for children. VIP tickets are available for$20 in advance and $25 at the door.

Quakes events
Twenty-four youngsters from the San Jose region will compete Saturday, Sept. 25 at Spartan Stadium for the San Jose Earthquakes Team Championship competition of the Sierra Mist MLS Dribble, Pass & Score program prior to the Quakes game at 7pm against the Los Angeles Galaxy. A champion will be named in each of the six age and gender divisions: 8-9, 10-11 and 12-14.
The winners in each category will be honored at halftime and have their scores matched against the other MLS Team Champions for the right to advance to the National Finals. The finals will take place during MLS Cup weekend at the Home Depot Center.
