I would like to commend Bill Klipstine and his incredible Live Oak actors and stage crew for their wonderful production of the musical West Side Story. The stage set-up was so creatively done, the singing was superb, and the dancing was very professionally executed.
Mr. Klipstine consistently puts on excellent productions, and it’s a shame that his dream of a remodeled auditorium has never been realized and probably never will be. No matter how fancy the Sobrato auditorium will be, Klipstine will be a hard act to follow for the Sobrato drama teacher.
What impresses me most about Live Oak’s teachers is that they do the best for the students no matter what conditions they have to work under. Live Oak has been cheated by the district in more ways than one, but everyone who works and attends there knows that Sobrato may be all new and shiny, but the heart and soul of the community will always be with Live Oak.
