Looking forward to Morgan Hill’s Centennial in 2006, the Morgan Hill Historical Society has designed a cotton blanket/throw woven with pictures of historic buildings. Buildings, some gone, others updated and still in use, include the Old Morgan Hill House at Villa Mira Monte, the Acton House – now the Historical Museum – the Methodist Church, San Martin Presbyterian Church, The Grange, the 21-Mile House in Coyote, Burnett School, the Votaw Building and many more.
The Centennial celebration will begin on Founders’ Day, November 2005 and continue through 2006. The Society is eager to hear suggestions for Centennial programming and to know of historical facts, people and artifacts.
Throws are $60 including tax and can be reserved by calling Judy Bogardus at 778-1555 or the Historical Society at 779-5755. www.mhhistoric.com/
