“I mailed myself a love letter yesterday
I can’t wait to get it back to see what’s going in my life
And to see how my relationship with myself is developing
Yesterday I learned of all my faults and casualties
Tomorrow I will come to grips with how great I am
Next week I will begin teaching courses in coolness where water will enroll itself to learn how to become ice cubes …
Mike was kind enough to recommend some of his favorite poets whose books are available at the library. Come and check out the following books by Allen Ginsberg: “Howl, and other poems,” “Cosmopolitan greetings: poems, 1986–1992,” “Journals mid-50s, 1954–1958,” “Death & fame: poems, 1993-1997,” and “Spontaneous mind: selected interviews, 1958–1996.”
The library owns three volumes of poems by Billy Collins, “Sailing alone around the room: new and selected poems,” “The art of drowning,” and “Nine horses: poems.”
