and field team finally got a league victory, beating visiting
Gilroy on Thursday.
It took the entire regular season but the Live Oak High track and field team finally got a league victory, beating visiting Gilroy on Thursday.

Live Oak’s girls team downed the Mustangs 93-42, while the Acorn boys edged Gilroy 69-61.

Leading the way for the Live Oak girls were: Lesley Dedios (first in the triple jump), Ashley Ceaser (first in the high jump and pole vault), Elizabeth Johansen (first in the 300 hurdles), Heather Molyneux (first in the long jump), Cobbie Jones (first in the 800 and 1,600), and Azucena Atanacio (first in the discus).

On the boys side, Billy Wong won the 800, 1,600 and 3,200, Brandon Powell won the 110 and 300 hurdles, Andrew Taylor won the pole vault, and Dustin Muhn won the long jump.
