2003 at St. Catherine
’s Church.
Shelby Yvonne Wake, daughter of Ron and Didi Wake, and Aaron Justin Hoyt, son of Scott and Donna Hoyt, were married Sept. 6, 2003 at St. Catherine’s Church.
Shelby graduated from Live Oak High School in 1997 and then attended San Diego State University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Management. Shelby is currently a Project Manager for Event Ready in Rocklin, Calif.
Aaron graduated from Atwater High School in 1995 and then attended San Diego State University and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in geography. He is currently a Transportation Engineer/Planner for Fehr and Peers in Roseville, Calif.
The bride’s gown was a halter bodice that featured a beaded trim and an embroidered floral motif over multi-layered, tulle skirt that was embellished with embroidered flowers and featured a detachable tulle train. The veil was made by the bride’s mother and was layered tulle with scalloped edges, hand-beaded and edged with Swavorski crystals and pearls.
The maid of honor was Andrea Gregg. Attendants were Christine Conroy, Trinity Chavez, Sandra Delgadillo, Erin James, Erin Morgan, Briana Nietert, Brigid Ryan, Laurel Sakson, Nicole Senigaglia and Lisa Sunseri, all friends or family members of the bride.
The junior bridesmaid was cousin, Kaitlyn Hooper and the flower girls were cousin, Kaitlyn Turk and the groom’s niece, Julie McGowen. The train bearer was the groom’s cousins, Amy Wampler and Aaron Cook.
The best man was Rene Quintana. Ushers were Raudel Contreras, Jose Guerrero, Anthony Lucich, Chad Malley, Hau Nguyen, Ryan Sakson, Marc Shaefer, Peter Valdez and Ryan Wake, all friends or family members of the groom. The junior groomsman was the bride’s cousin, Jeffrey Hooper. The ring bearer’s were the bride’s cousins, Cody Cameron and Richie Wake.
The reception was held at Guglielmo’s Winery on East Main Avenue.
The couple honeymooned on the island of Maui and now make their home in Roseville.
