firecracker golf tourney
Raising money for Morgan Hill’s annual Fourth of July celebration, the IDI Firecracker Golf Tournament brought in $1,500 from this year’s event, held on Friday, June 25 at the Gilroy Golf Course.

south valley running club
The South Valley Running Club invites runners of all ability to join its members for weekly runs on the weekend, a weekday run Wednesday morning, and speed training at the track on Thursday nights. OVYSL signups
Orchard Valley Youth Soccer League is now taking signups for the 2004/05 fall recreational season. The cost before July 15 is $95 for the first and second player of the family and $60 for the third or more.
Beginning July 16, the cost is $120 on a space-available basis. Boys and girls aged 4-14 (born from 8-1-99 to 7-31-91) are eligible. Please include a copy of a certified copy of the prospective player’s borth certificate along with a 1”x11/2” color photo. Player may not be wearing a hat or sunglasses in the photo. junior nba basketball camp
Jr. NBA Boys and Girls Basketball Camp takes place July 12 through July 16 at the Gymnasium on 145 Wright Ave. in Morgan Hill. Come and have a great time. The coaching staff is ready for a great camp. Sessions for Pre-K to second grade is 8:30-9:30 a.m.; third grade to sixth grade is 10 a.m.-noon; and seventh to ninth grade is 12:30-2:30 p.m. The cost is $80 for all ages. mh water polo
The Morgan Hill Water Polo age group team, ages 9 to 14, practices Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the new MH aquatics center. Also at the aquatics center, females age 18 and up are welcome to participate in the Moms Polo program, which practices from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. High school age water polo players practice at the Live Oak High pool on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Details: call Mack Haines at 778-5773.
basketball jones camps
The 9th Annual Basketball Jones Hoop Camp will take place July 5-9 at Oakwood Country School, 105 John Wilson Way, Morgan Hill. The camp runs from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. and is open to boys and girls ages 76-15. Camp fee is $180 for week; $160 is you sign up before May 15. midnight madness golf
Gilroy Golf Course will once again be hosting their annual Midnight Madness Night Junior Golf Tournament. The tournament is played at night using glow-in-the-dark golf balls. The event starts at 7:30 p.m. with a putting tournament followed by a hamburger BBQ. The tournament itself starts at approximately 9 p.m. Cost for the event is $30, which includes golf, dinner, drinks, putting tournament and golf balls. The field is limited to the first 48 juniors.
