Carol Dee Haugland died at her home surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, July 17, 2004.
Carol was born in Delta, Utah, on March 2, 1934, to Francis and Marie Smith. She was raised in Utah and had lived in California since 1963. She was married to Stan Haugland on May 20, 1972. They were later sealed together for time and eternity at the Oakland LDS temple.
Carol’s greatest work and joy was her family. She leaves behind a legacy of love, sacrifice, commitment and faith that will live on in the hearts of many.
Carol’s legacy lives on in her husband, Stan, of 32 years; children Gene Snyder, LaDawn Snyder and Juli Steenhuis; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Carol also leaves behind her brothers Bob Smith and Mike Smith.
A celebration of Carol’s life took place Wednesday, July 21. She was laid to rest at Los Gatos Memorial Park.
