Classes at Gavilan College start next Monday, leaving students with one more week to register for the fall semester.

Registration is open for classes at Gavilan’s main campus in Gilroy, as well as its Hollister and Morgan Hill sites.

Students may register in person at each Gavilan location, or by calling the phone-in registration at 846-3729. To register over the phone, students must be using a credit card to pay class fees.

The college is adding 70 sections this fall after reducing about 100 class sections last fall.

“It’s really a growing part of business now – global positioning and geographic information systems,” Chargin said. “There’s more and more demand for these skills so we wanted to make sure it was something we had available to our students.”

Students may register at Gavilan’s Gilroy office at 5055 Santa Teresa Blvd. today through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. The campus will be closed Friday, Aug. 13.

The registration office in Gilroy will close at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 20.

For information about registration in Morgan Hill call 782-2873.
