Back-to-school issues and the proposed Coyote Valley development are topics Morgan Hill School Board trustees and City Councilmembers will be discussing during Friday morning’s meeting of the City/School District Liaison Committee.

The meeting will be held at 10 a.m. instead of the usual 8 a.m. at City Hall, 17555 Peak Ave.

With district schools opening Tuesday, Aug. 24, committee members will bring each other up to date on preparations for the big day.

District officials will discuss the status of the new Sobrato High, as well as the Live Oak High modernization project.

Coyote Valley is a big issue for both the city and the School District. The San Jose City Council met Monday night to discuss the three proposed alternatives for developing the land in south San Jose north of Morgan Hill. The entire area is within the district’s boundaries.
