Hill, ran off southbound Highway 101 north of Burnett Avenue,
continued down the embankment and overturned at 2:40 a.m. Friday.
She told police she may have fallen asleep. Straub complained of
neck and back pain and had small cuts on he

Burglary

• Auto burglary: A resident of the Crest Avenue Apartments reported someone broke into the resident’s locked Dodge Ram and stole a 10 disc CD player, a toolbox and tools and attempted to steal the battery but apparently could not. The resident told police the suspect(s) left behind a map with a greasy handprint. The report was taken on July 7 at 9:07am

• A customer of Las Palmas restaurant reported someone threw a spark plug into the rear window of the customer’s locked Suburban. A camera was missing from the vehicle. The report was taken at 5:20pm on July 7.

• An employee of VM Industries on Railroad Avenue reported his locked car, parked near a door to the business, was broken into, and items were stolen. The employee told police he did leave a window open about four inches, and he did find some of the items near the business and near the railroad tracks. The report was taken on July 10 at 5:51pm

• A resident of the 190 block of Preservation Way reported she left her vehicle unlocked and someone stole her purse and stereo. The report was taken at 9:43am on July 15.

• A Morgan Hill resident reported her locked vehicle was broken into overnight while parked on West Central Avenue. A car seat was stolen and some change, but the resident was unclear at the time of the report if other items had been stolen. The report was taken on July 16 at 6:36am
