Teresa Alfonso, 86, died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004, at her home
after a long illness.
Teresa Alfonso, 86, died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004, at her home after a long illness.
A native of Salamanca, Spain, Mrs. Alfonso moved to Gilroy in 1972 from Spain. She was a past member of St. Mary Church.
Teresa was the loving wife of 57 years to Constantino Alfonso of Gilroy; loving mother of Teresa Lopez, Jose Alfonso, and Hortensia Ariza all of Gilroy; dear grandmother of Victor Lopez, Yolanda Ariza-Escobar, Carlos Andres Ariza and Ivan Ariza all of Gilroy; and great-grandmother of Gabriel Lopez, Miranda Lauren Escobar, Xochilt Victoria Lopez and Nicholas Alexander Escobar all of Gilroy. She also is survived by many relatives in Spain.
Funeral Mass was held this afternoon, Feb. 17, at St. Mary Church under direction of Habing Family Funeral Home.
