Anderson Lake County Park in Morgan Hill was one of five locations selected for the Pianos in Parks: Bach to Nature II from Sept. 5 through Oct. 5, according to an Aug. 31 release from Santa Clara County Parks.
This is the second year that county staff will place pianos in a select number of county parks and “they’re there for your enjoyment,” according to the release.
“Bach to Nature was immensely popular last year and because of that popularity the program is being expanded from four pianos in four parks to five in five,” the press release reads. “To further enhance the serenity of the musical experience new and even more beautiful locations have been chose for the instrument displays.”
Sunset Piano and DC Pianos of Berkeley has partnered with county parks to make this possible.
The five locations are: Almaden Quicksilver near the Hacienda Trail entrance; Stevens Creek at the Lakeshore picnic area, Hellyer Park’s Cottonwood picnic area, Vasona Park near the sycamore tree by the boat rental area and Anderson Lake at the Live Oak picnic area.
Local schools, musicians, artists, poets and user groups are encouraged to spread the word and share the music of life, the release states.
