Fun run and car show
The 14th Annual Garlic City Fun Run Car Show will zoom into downtown Gilroy from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 18. Enjoy food, beer and wine as you stroll downtown and check out the classic cars. Giant night for Gilroy
Take the family to “Gilroy Night” at the San Jose Giants game starting at 6 p.m. July 18. Fill the stands, show your Gilroy pride and enjoy the fireworks. Tickets are $10 are available from 9 to noon at the Gilroy Foundation office, 60 Fourth St., or call Gina at (408) 843-8604 after noon.
Summer exhibit features Finnish artist
The artwork of Satu Viitanen, a native of Finland who works in a variety of art mediums, is currently on display through Aug. 1 at the bi-monthly art exhibition hosted by the offices of Dr. Jernell Escobar, 7880 Wren Ave. Suite D-142, Gilroy. Summer book sale
The Friends of the Morgan Hill Library Summer Book Sale is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 27 at the library, 660 W. Main Ave., Morgan Hill. All books are $1 or less and children’s books are 10 cents each. From 2 to 3 p.m., fill a bag for $4-$5.
