There will be a celebration of life for Robert Wood Sunday, August 23rd, 2015, at Kirigin Cellars, located at 3255 Day Road, Gilroy, CA 95020. Please be sure to enter on the Day Road entrance of Kirigan Cellars. The luncheon will take place from 12:00P.M. to 5:00 P.M. In lieu of memorial contributions, if you would like to bring an appetizer or dessert, that would be greatly appreciated. Deceased’s funeral   arrangements: Johnson Funeral Home.
 Robert N. Wood lost his battle with cancer at the young age of 72. Robert was born on September 4, 1942.
 Robert grew up in San Martin and lived the majority of his life in Morgan Hill. Robert died on Monday, July 27, 2015 surrounded by his family.
 Robert worked 36 years for Ironworkers Local 377.  
 He began farming hay in San Martin at the age of 12 and has never stopped working. Robert will be remembered as an iron worker, cattleman and hay grower. Robert always enjoyed telling a good story. There wasn’t anything Robert didn’t know the answer to and if he wasn’t sure he would look it up and learn about it so he could tell people about it.
 Robert had a knack for fixing old trucks and figuring things out on his own. He enjoyed meeting the guys at Betsy’s every morning to get his day started.
 Robert is survived by his wife of 44 years, Lucille Wood; son, Morgan Wood and daughter-in-law, Natalie Wood; daughter, Tausha Tucker, son-in-law, Curtiss Tucker, daughter, Sheri Byrum; son-in-law, Clint Byrum. He is survived by his seven beautiful grandchildren; Christina, Julia, Jessica, Christian, William, Ava and Johnny. Robert also leaves his brother, David Wood, sisters, Kathy Laucher (Wood); Cecile Leguillon (Wood) and Vicky Baird (Greig) and of course his sidekick, Louie as well as many close friends.
 The family of Robert Wood would graciously like to thank everyone for their support and well-wishes during this difficult time. “Gone too young, forever in our hearts”.
