•A resident of Danny Boy Court reported someone “jimmied” the door of the resident’s Nissan pickup and stole the stereo. The report was taken at 10:30 on Dec. 20.

• A Morgan Hill resident reported a cell phone was stolen from the resident’s unlocked vehicle while it was parked in the Vineyard Town Center parking lot. The report was taken on Dec. 20 at 1:14pm.

• A resident of Juan Hernandez Drive reported the resident’s Mustang was broken into while parked on the street overnight. The window was broken. The report was taken at 12:01am on Dec. 23.

• A resident of the 16600 block of Lone Hill Drive reported the resident’s locked vehicle was broken into while it was parked in the driveway overnight. The resident’s purse was stolen from the vehicle, as well as the resident’s work badge and the pink slip for another vehicle. The report was taken on Dec. 23 at 9:41am.

• Fox Racing USA on Sutter Boulevard reported two vehicles parked in the rear of the building were broken into. The report was taken at 10:21am on Dec. 23.

n Advanced Machine Programming on Woodview Drive reported a locked Honda Civic parked on the side of the building was broken into. A window was shattered, and the stereo, speakers, amplifiers and equipment were stolen. The report was taken on Dec. 23 at 11:05am.

• A resident of the 15200 block of La Alameda reported someone broke into the resident’s Chevy truck overnight. The side window was broken, and the stereo was stolen. The report was taken at 8:35am on Dec. 24.

• A Morgan Hill resident reported her purse was stolen from her unlocked vehicle while it was parked at Diana’s Haircrafters on East Dunne Avenue. The report was taken on Dec. 24 at 6:26pm.

Fraud:

• CK Specialty Insurance Association on Monterey Road reported a forged check was cashed on a company account. The report was taken on Dec. 13 at 12:17pm.

• Bank of the West in Tennant Station reported someone attempted to open an account with a forged check. The bank verified with the owner of the check that it was forged. The report was taken at 2:09pm on Dec. 13.

• A Morgan Hill resident who’s car was stolen three days earlier reported someone wrote checks on her account at Best Buy, for $2,000, and Target, for more than $1,000. The report was taken on Dec. 17 at 4:29pm.

• A Morgan Hill resident reported a check was stolen from her while at the Forever Nails salon on Monterey Road. The resident told police the suspect filled out the blank check for an amount more than $700 and tried to cash it at the Bank of America. The report was taken on Dec. 23 at 9:58am.

•Home Depot on East Dunne Avenue reported two men came into the store, and one of them opened an account and purchased $3,000 in merchandise. After checking the identification used, it turned out that the man who opened the account was using someone else’s identification. The report was taken at 2:34pm on Dec. 23.

Burglary:

• A resident of the 16800 block of Sorrel Way reported the resident’s locked garage was broken into overnight. Camping gear and toys were stolen from the garage. The report was taken on Dec. 11 at 11:19am.

v The China Orchard restaurant on Monterey Road reported someone entered the business overnight and stole the cash register. A window of the business was shattered. The report was taken at 11:09am on Dec. 12.

• Ernie’s Bar And Grill on Monterey Road reported cash and a food slicer, estimated to be worth $1,500 total, were stolen from the business overnight. There were no signs of forced entry. The report was taken on Dec. 13 at 10:25am.
