Frank was born on Dec. 5, 1939, in San Jose. He was the only son of Frank and Virginia Days. The family moved to Morgan Hill in 1947 where Frank attended elementary, middle and high school. He graduated from Live Oak in 1957. He attended Hartnell Jr. College in Salinas for one year, then joined the Navy. He was stationed in several locations but it was when serving in ”Operation Deep Freeze” in Antarctica that he met his wife, Ann. While on furlough in New Zealand, they met on a blind date, fell in love and were happily married until his passing. They lived in San Jose until 1969 when they moved to Christchurch to be with their three boys. Frank worked and was retired from New Zealand Airlines.

Frank loved sports and remained a staunch football fan. He was an avid golfer and loved to travel. He will be missed by all his family and he will be remembered for his winning smile and keen sense of humor.

He is survived by his wife Ann (New Zealand); sons Frank III, Robert and Steven; daughters-in-law Michelle and Kathy; grandchildren Jessica, Oscar, Mia and Josh (Australia); mother Virginia B. Days (Morgan Hill); sisters Barbara Schiermeyer (Alturas), Virginia M. Days (Morgan Hill), Dolores Cruz (San Jose), Jackie Bauleke (Placerville) and Betty Days (Fortuna); brother-in-law Manuel Cruz; many nieces and nephews; in-laws in New Zealand and many aunts and cousins and friends in New Zealand, the United States, Germany and Bermuda.

He was preceded in death by his father Frank V. Days Sr.

Services took place Friday, Jan. 21 in Christchurch, New Zealand.
