The Bulldogs also had a couple of great shots at the goal by Katie Alton and Lauren Kirmil that didn’t find their mark, according to Coach Sue Scigliano.. But fine play by Sobrato goalkeeper Katrina Olson earned the shutout.
Meanwhile, the Sobrato girls basketball team went 2-3 in its last five games, including wins over Carlmost and York.
In the 39-19 victory over Carlmont, freshman guard Nicole Simoneau scored a game-high 20 points, and center Nina Baio added 14 points and eight rebounds.
Against York, freshman swing Janie Aylard had 10 points in a 31-15 win.
In other action, the Bulldogs lost to Hollister, Salinas and Live Oak.
