Dear Editor,
The Best Place in Heaven –
Dedicated to Kevin John Arata
We used to drive up that hill as fast as we could go
We thought we were defying death, little did we know
If God needed us for his work he would’ve taken us right then
We all thought we were too young, nobody really knows when
All those days at “Burger King” skateboarding over carts
Little did we know, one amongst us had a bad heart
We drove around together looking at Christmas lights
And now we all regret every stupid little fight
But Kevin Arata was the best friend everyone had asked for
Maybe I’m the only one, who felt he just deserved more
God knew he deserved more, but God’s intentions we did not see
For Kevin is up in Heaven now, and that’s the best place for him to be
I want to be selfish and say that none of this is fair
I had so much fun with Kevin because he really cared
Heaven is the best place anyone could ever ask to be
And I’ve realized WE are the selfish ones; finally
There was no better friend on earth then Kevin
And he is where he deserves; THE BEST PLACE IN HEAVEN
