Gene passed away from a sudden illness on November 6th, 2010.
Gene was a loving husband, boyfriend, father, brother, grandfather and a dear friend to many. His family and friends were the most important part of his life.
Gene was born in San Francisco and raised in Almaden. He was a member of the Plumbers Local 393 for 20 years. His later ventures included, owner of “The Bookworks” in Pacific Grove as well as the Co-founder of “The Morgan Hill Tobacco Co”. and partner in “Hellams Tobacco Shop” in Monterey.
Gene had several passions including golf and coaching Little League Baseball. He was also a fan of the San Francisco 49er’s and the biggest of San Francisco Giants fans.
Gene retired to La Pine, Oregon in 2008.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorial services will be held this Saturday, November 13, 2010, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home, 870 San Benito St., Hollister, CA 95023 Graveside services have been held at the mausoleum in Calvary Cemetery, Hollister.
