A renter of a storage unit reported the lock to the unit’s door
had been cut and about $20,000 worth of items were stolen. Among
the take was a guitar signed by B.B. King.
Cigarettes stolen from vehicle
A friend of the owner of a black 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee saw someone enter the vehicle, which was parked in front of the Music Tree at 17470 Monterey Rd., and steal some items. Reported missing from the vehicle were a blue tool bag containing tools and a pack of cigarettes, according to Morgan Hill Police. The suspect left in a green 1990s model Honda Civic. The crime was reported at 12:14 p.m. Feb. 26.
Catalytic converter stolen from parked truck
Someone stole the catalytic converter off an unspecified make and model pickup truck. The truck was parked on the 17200 block of Calle Mazatan. The theft was reported 9:14 a.m. Feb. 27.
Green card stolen from vehicle
A thief or thieves broke into a white 1998 Toyota Avalon by smashing the front passenger’s side window. Stolen was a black leather purse containing the owner’s green card and credit cards. The car was parked in the Pacific Hills Manor parking lot at 370 Noble Ct. The crime was reported at 2:37 p.m. Feb. 28.
Child abuse reported in Wal-Mart parking lot
A witness reported a man grabbed a male child about 9 years old and put him in a headlock in the Wal-Mart parking lot at 170 Cochrane Plaza. The man dragged the juvenile out to a car, a PT Cruiser, and put the victim face down in the back seat and started hitting him, according to police. The incident was reported at 5:41 p.m. Feb. 28.
Autographed guitar stolen from storage
