Oak Grove (4-2 overall, 2-1 league) is ranked ninth for Friday’s 7 p.m. home game against Live Oak (4-2, 2-1), a pivotal contest that will boost or bury both teams’ chances to win the Mount Hamilton Division championship.
The Acorns won last year’s meeting 9-7, but this is a different Oak Grove team. After having their streak of seven straight league titles snapped in 2009, the Eagles are looking like the Oak Grove of old. Their two losses were to No. 6 St. Francis and No. 8 Piedmont Hills, Live Oak’s opponent next week.
