Nov. 4 named Morgan Hill Philanthropy Day

The Morgan Hill Community Foundation will host the fifth annual
Philanthropy Day luncheon Nov. 4, which from that day forward will
be known as

Morgan Hill Philanthropy Day.

The Morgan Hill Community Foundation will host the fifth annual Philanthropy Day luncheon Nov. 4, which from that day forward will be known as “Morgan Hill Philanthropy Day.”

Mayor Steve Tate will present the foundation with a proclamation between 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Morgan Hill Community and Cultural Center. More than 30 nonprofit organizations are invited to participate and nominate a philanthropist who has made a notable difference in their organization.

Nov. 15 is the nation’s Philanthropy Day set aside to recognize and pay tribute to the great contributions that people active in the philanthropic community have made.

More than 30 non-profit organizations are invited to participate and nominate a philanthropist who has made a notable difference in their organization. This year we will have 30 honorees.

The keynote speaker will be Morgan Hill city councilman Greg Sellers, who has given to the Morgan Hill community over the last 12 years while serving on its city council. He has also served as a founding board member of Leadership Morgan Hill and Charter School of Morgan Hill. Most noteworthy for this event, he served as founding chair of the Morgan Hill Community Foundation.

The emcee for this event will be Michael Moore, a radio personality at KBAY 94.5 FM and KRTY 95.3 FM, who has many ties to Morgan Hill.

This event is co-sponsored by Morgan Hill Community Foundation and Pacific Gas & Electric Company. Other sponsors of the event are Fry’s Electronics, Pinnacle Bank, City of Morgan Hill, Edward Jones, Nob Hill and Trader Joe’s.
