Thank you for your recent articles concerning the meetings of the South County Democratic Club. You have even publicized our upcoming Gilroy meeting on Jan. 31, which is much appreciated.
However, there was an error in last week’s newspaper. Peg Pinard is not coming to the Gilroy meeting. The new Senate District 15 does not include Gilroy.
Instead, our Gilroy meeting will feature Assemblyman Simon Salinas of the 28th District and the competing candidates for the 13th Senate District Democratic nomination, Assemblyman Manny Diaz and former Assemblywoman Elaine Alquist.
Pinard, who is running for the 15th State Senate district, visited with SCDC members in Morgan Hill on Saturday, Jan. 10.
