Boys 8U

Patriots 9, Tigers 0

Brandon Cressi had a season high of four goals to lead the Patriots. Jarrod Cerlniglia and Christopher Johnson both scored two goals. Alex Bainbridge also added a goal. Good defense was provided by David Miller and Keith Arbogast.

Girls 10U

Lightning 2, Cheetahs 1

Great defensive plays by Brianna Arzate, Kaeli Johnson and Catherine Dedsaren and some great stops by Alyssa Jimenez in the goal set the tone. The only shot on goal for the Cheetahs came on a beautiful pass by Amy Townsend to Paige Menage, who had a kick thwarted by the Lightning goalie. The score stood at 0-0 going into the second half.

The Lightning scored a pair of goals quickly to begin the second half, but the Cheetahs fought back for the remainder of the period. Danielle Horning, Shanley Sullivan and Samantha Robbins continued their strong defense, and April Robbins made some nice saves at goalie. Late in the second half, Katie Machado drove past two defenders and got a ball past the Lightning’s goal.

Lightening 2, Demons 1

Lightning defender Taylor Carson stole the ball for the first score. Bianca Aguayo added the second Lightning goal. Nicole Barasanti came close to scoring several times but was unable to find the net. The Red Demons were able to get on the board late.

Boys 10U

Venom 5, Thunder 2

Blake Porzio attacked the goal throughout the game for the Blue Thunder. Defensively, Kirk Nelson cleared numerous shots on goal. Bradley Cachopo had a lot of hussle playing defense. David Molyneaux had some great stops as goalie. Nick Blocker and Austin Chenoweth scored goals for the Blue Thunder.

The Black Venom continued strong play on both ends of the field. Juan Montemayor scored two goals, and Samuel Reid scored a goal and contributed an assist. Daniel Alvarado continued his scoring streak by scoring two goals. Ty Miller and Arron Smith both contributed strong two -way play. Tom Rowlands and Khalil Fredrick continued to play play strong. Peter Simonsen did a great job as goalie.

Cobras 7, Dragons 0

The Cobras have been emphasizing passing in practice, and it paid off quickly against the Dragons.

Nelson Pyle turned in a hat trick, scoring in the 2nd, 4th and 11th minute of play. Matt Gamez added another in the 22nd minute.

David Robinson was brilliant in the goal stopping a handful of shots by the Dragons. Jacob Snyder showed outstanding defensive play. The Cobras continued their excellent passing in the second half.

David Robinson added two more goals in the 2nd and 15th minute with Alex Ukanwa posting the Cobra’s final goal in the 20th minute. Defensively, goalie Matt Gamez and defenders Nelson Pyle, Gabriel Cheadle and David Robinson kept pressure on the Dragons completing a shutout. Brandon Lefore showcased good hustle during the game.
