Girls 9U
The Orchard Valley Storm headed to Napa this past weekend to play in the 10U Napa Halloween Jamboree. The jamboree was played on small fields in a 5 vs. 5 format.
The Storm broke into a pair of well balanced teams to take on the older teams. The two Storm teams swept all eight games they played in.
The Storm used their quickness and passing skills to befuddle their older competition.
Rebekah Inouye and Colby Carson were a dynamic duo during the weekend, assisting each other on several goals. Tula Urban took advantage of nice pass-backs from teammates to score a pair of goals from deep outside the box.
Taylor Slattery, Kaylana Mau and Megan Nebesnick all played strong games. Hailey Hamilton scored a pair of early goals to get the Storm rolling. Amber Thomas, Sydney Barker and Janessa Garcia played stout defense and contributed several goals.
Samantha Riolo was out with an ankle injury, and Jada Williams was limited with illness.
Shockers 9, Dragons 2
The Shocker defense, Kai Paresa, Colton Boulware, and Chase Weirshauser held the Dragons to two goals.
Mitchel Mayes was able to score two goals against the Shockers. Jonathan Frietas and Trentan Cisewski had scoring attempts. Tyler Gargiulo and Ian Richardson both scored three goals for the Shockers. Kai Paresa scored two goals, and Kyle Vandenbranhorninge added a goal.
Gators 3, Thunder 1
David Molyneaux displayed his keen footwork. Blake Porzio seemed like he had glue on his cleats, keeping the ball close to him for a long drive up field. Austin Chenoweth, near the goal, passed to Cody Laurence who scored for Blue Thunder.
