Local NJB team to play in All-Star event
AHWANEE — Morgan Hill’s Amay Poria overcame a three-stroke deficit in the final round of the Spring Series II Championship to win the boys First Flight title March 21 at Sierra Meadows Country Club in Ahwanee.
It was the first Northern California Golf Association tournament of the season for Poria, who last summer played in the U.S. Kids Golf Teen World Championship. He is tied for fifth place in the NCGA boys points list.

Local NJB team to play in All-Star event
The Division I girls all-star team from the Gilroy/Morgan Hill chapter of National Junior Basketball will play in the March 26-28 National Tournament in Anaheim after taking second in the Silicon Valley Tournament on March 7.
