The 10th annual Youth Leadership Morgan Hill’s Youth Action Council has opened recruitment which will continue through July 17 at the Morgan Hill Community and Cultural Center (17000 Monterey Road).
YLMH is a four-day program for teens age 13 to 18 interested in learning and improving leadership skills or being part of the YAC for the new fiscal year beginning August 2015.
“This program gives teens a sense of empowerment and a chance to contribute and serve their community,” according to the YAC announcement. “Additionally, this program builds bonds between teens, current community officials and business leaders.”
Workshops will be presented by youth leaders, city officials, local business owners and inspirational community members.
Registration packets are available at the Community and Cultural Center, the Aquatics Center (16200 Condit Road) and Centennial Recreation Center (171 W. Edmundson Ave.). Registration fees ($30 resident/$35 CRC member) include meals, snacks, a T-shirt and certification of participation and CPR certification for two years.
