Amay Poria

Morgan Hill’s Amay Poria is headed to the 2013 U.S. Junior Amateur Golf Championship.
The 17-year-old Oakwood senior qualified last week at Yolo Fliers Golf Club, shooting 70 in the morning and 73 in the afternoon to finish one under par for the day.
Poria claimed one of four available spots for the tournament, which will be held July 22-27 at Martis Camp Club in Truckee.
Poria will play in three more tournaments this month, including the NCGA Junior Championship at Spyglass Golf Course Monday and Tuesday in Pebble Beach. He will also play the NCGA Amateur Stroke Play Championship at Bayonet Golf Course July 12-14 in Seaside and U.S. Amateur Qualifier at Pasatiempo in Santa Cruz on July 29.
