Last Sunday the Morgan Hill Raiders Pee Wee team traveled to San Mateo to face the Bay Cities Bulldogs. The Bulldogs received the ball to start off the game. The Raiders defense forced them to punt after the first three plays not allowing them to gain any yards.

The first drive of the game for the Raiders turned out to be the most successful. Jack Bourgeois started off the drive with a 15 yard run off the right side of the line. Michael Singleton then ran for a 5 yard gain up the middle. Brandon Gustin scampered off the right side for a gain of 12 yards. Singleton and Jeffery Roberts ran the next two plays for a combined gain of 25 yards. All setting up the 5 yard touchdown pass from Gustin to Bourgeois.

The tough Raider defense held Bay Cities on their next possession as well forcing a punt that was returned for 35 yards by Roberts. This drive was led with running by Joe Silva, Roman Orta, and Jordan Matanane. The Raider offense stalled on the Bay Cities 20 yard line.

After a Bulldog punt, the Raiders drove down to the Bay Cities two yard line, before fumbling the ball. The drive included runs by Patrick Bacciarelli, and a 6 yard pass from Gustin to Connor Sutton.

After the fumble, the stingy Raider defence united for a safety led by Max Niehaus, Xavier Bonton, and Bourgeois.

Roberts received the insuing kickoff and almost ran it back for a touchdown, stepping out of bounds on the two yard line as time ran out.
