It’s time once again to raise a glass in support of local cross
country, running and track-and-field programs as the ninth annual
South Valley Wine Auction comes to the Morgan Hill Community and
Cultural Center Friday.
Morgan Hill – It’s time once again to raise a glass in support of local cross country, running and track-and-field programs as the ninth annual South Valley Wine Auction comes to the Morgan Hill Community and Cultural Center Friday.
The event, a food and wine festival, benefits Live Oak High School, Sobrato High School, Martin Murphy Middle School and Britton Middle School.
More than $30,000 is typically raised each year.
In addition to enjoying a variety of wonderful wines and food, event attendees will have the opportunity to bid on more than 30 items during a live auction and more than 30 items in a silent auction. Bottles of special wines, cases of wines, tours of wineries, dinners, salon treatments, golf packages and hotel get-aways are just some of the donations area businesses have contributed to help raise money for Morgan Hill students.
Ten restaurants will offer food to accompany the wines, including CreAsian, Friendly Fred’s Hotdogs, Giancarlo’s Ristorante Italiano, Glory Days, Golden Oak Restaurant, Las Palmas, Mr. Hong’s Chinese Fast Food, Maurizio’s Restaurant, Rosy’s at the Beach and Trail Dust BBQ Joint.
There will be 13 wineries participating, including Cinnabar Vineyards & Winery, Fernwood Cellars, Fortino Winery, Guglielmo Winery, Hecker Pass Winery, Kirigin Cellars, Leal Estate Vineyards, Mann Cellars, Martin Ranch Winery, Pedrizzetti Winery, Sarah’s Vineyard, Solis Winery, and Sycamore Creek Vineyards.
For the first time, organizers have invited a brewer – Morgan Hill’s own El Toro Brewing Company – to participate in the event. And the Buzz Stop will be providing coffee beverages during the event.
SOUTH VALLEY WINE AUCTION
- Tickets are available for $50 in advance, $60 at the door. Morgan Hill Unified School District teachers may purchase up to two tickets at the reduced price of $40 each, or $20 discount if purchased in advance.
