Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) will hold a Valley Transportation Plan 2030 (VTP 2030) Open House at the Morgan Hill City Hall Council Chambers, 17555 Peak Ave., from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 11.

The VTP 2030 planning process presents a chance for VTA and the community to re-visit transportation strategies and investment priorities and respond to changing conditions and community needs.

The VTA will also offer local residents an opportunity to offer their opinions online at www.vtp2030.org regarding long-range transportation planning on the areas of freeways/highways, expressways, local streets and county roads, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), bicycle and transit.

As the Congestion Management Agency for Santa Clara County, VTA is developing the countywide long-range transportation plan, VTP 2030. This plan, updated every three years, is the foundation for the extensive array of transportation investments, services and programs that VTA and its partnering agencies will put into place over the future.

Public involvement and participation is vital to the VTP 2030 planning process. The public input received during the VTP 2030 Open Houses will be presented to the VTA Board of Directors at a workshop March 19.

To request a hard copy of the VTP 2030 Survey, please call VTA Community Outreach at 321-7575, TDD for the hearing impaired 321-2330.

Details: www.vtp2030.org, 321-7575 or 321-2330.
