For the second time this season, Gavilan College and Sacramento City needed the maximum five sets to decide a winner. And for the second time, the Rams came out on top.

Gavilan (6-5) faced match point at 15-14 in the fifth and final set before a pair of kills from Kayce Skocko helped the Rams close out a 25-19, 21-25, 25-21, 23-25, 17-15 victory.

The back-and-forth match kept everyone busy. Three Rams delivered double-digit kill performances, including Skocko, who finished with 14 kills, 28 digs and one block, Eva Latu, who had 12 kills, 19 digs, two blocks and one ace, and Tasmin Apple, who contributed 10 kills and two blocks. Also, Jessica Stofer recorded five blocks and five kills, Kayondra Hood had 25 digs and Sabina Gerard generated 45 assists and 10 digs.

The Rams host the fourth and final Gavilan College Classic on Saturday. Action opens at 10 a.m.
