With school starting again, and school pictures being taken of your children its a great idea to keep one of these photos in a safe place, along with their fingerprints taken by a law enforcement agency, and accurate descriptive information including any distinguishing marks or scars as well as weight, height, eye and hair color of each child. As the holidays approach, it’s time to start thinking of cards for our military serving overseas and those wounded in hospitals at Walter Reed and Ramstein. If you have cards that you will not be sending this year, drop me a note and arrangements will be made so that they can be sent to our troops.
In closing, here’s some words of wisdom from the Dalai Lama that can change your life. Open your arms to change, but don’t let go of your values. A loving atmosphere in your home is the foundation for your life. Don’t bring up the past. In disagreements with loved ones, deal only with the current situation. Share your knowledge. It is a good way to achieve immortality.
Once a year, go someplace you have never been before. Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a wonderful stroke of luck. Follow the three R’s: Respect for self, respect for others, responsibility for all your actions.
Until next month, be gentle to yourself and to our earth. Count your blessings every morning, afternoon, and night. Tell someone you love them, and make sure you whisper that to yourself once a day. Be a peacemaker and salute the divinity in everyone you meet. You have the power and ability to transform your world starting now.
