Morgan Hill – An annual tradition continues at 9am, Nov. 11 as Morgan Hill residents will gather to honor Veterans’ Day at the city’s war memorial on Monterey Road and Second Street.
Wreathes will be hung, flags will be waved, prayers will be said and songs will be sung.
The event is open to members of the public.
The organizer of the ceremony – now in its 15th year – is local Vietnam veteran Eddie Bowers, who spearheaded efforts to build the city’s memorial for residents who have died serving their country in the line of military duty.
More than 70 people attended last year’s event.
