Police catch suspected Walmart shoplifterA woman ran out of Wal-mart with a phone she had just stolen from the store at 170 Cochrane Plaza, but police caught up to her and recovered the stolen property, according to police reports. Police arrived to the scene and found the woman walking in the area of Butterfield Boulevard and Diana Avenue, police said. Walmart staff did not want to prosecute the woman, but wanted the stolen phone back. An officer gave the woman a warning to stay away from Wal-mart in the future or she could be prosecuted for trespassing, police said. The crime was reported about 2:34 p.m. June 27. Electronics, shotguns stolen from homeSomeone stole a laptop computer and Playstation video game system when they burglarized a home on Vista Del Valle in east Morgan Hill, police said. Also stolen from the home were two shotguns and an ATM card, according to police reports.
