A two-vehicle crash at 9:10 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Highways 156 and 25 sent two people to San Jose’s Regional Medical Center with complaints of neck and back pains.
A big rig and a 1999 Chevy Tow truck collided in the intersection after one of vehicles ran a red light, said Jaime Rios, California Highway Patrol Public Information Officer. Authorities have yet to determine which vehicle ran the red light.
The two passengers inside the Chevy, James Baldwin, 39, and Jackie Aiello, 15, from Hollister, were airlifted to Regional Medical Center by Calstar after they complained of pain in their neck.
The injuries are not believed to be serious, Rios said.
The driver of the big rig, Kumar Bahupinder, 26, from Woodland, reported no injuries.
Both vehicles had major damage, Rios said.
The big rig was eastbound on Highway 156 before colliding with the Chevy heading north on Highway 25. The CHP is stilling talking to witnesses to determine which vehicle ran a red light at the intersection.
