Sobrato’s William Puna set a new personal record Wednesday with a 146.2 in the discus event at Mount Pleasant in San Jose.

Sobrato High senior William Puna won the varsity boys discus with a personal-record mark of 146 feet, 2 inches Wednesday during a meet at Mt. Pleasant.

Puna surpassed his previous season-best mark set March 14 against Santa Teresa.
