Feel the need for a night out on the town? Luckily the South Valley Civic Theater presents “On the Town,” a musical that takes you back to World War II era when three sailors get a 24-hour shore leave in New York City. With Leonard Bernstein songs, a teen cast and exuberant energy this theatrical experience will surely be a night out to remember. If you like using those brain muscles to solve word and math puzzles, the Silicon Valley Puzzle Fest will be just the event for you this weekend at the Morgan Hill Library. With special speakers and workshops this weekend, such as Sudoku world champion Thomas Snyder on Sunday and featuring puzzles provided by the New York Times puzzle editor Will Shortz. Details: Workshops are free, and donations of $25 for adult tournament competitors and $10 for youth tournament competitors are suggested. Morgan Hill Library, 660 W. Loving Morgan Hill is what these six individuals do in the community. Come celebrate them at 2012 Celebrate Morgan Hill, a banquet and awards ceremony by the Morgan Hill Chamber of Commerce for the winners of the woman, man, student, volunteer, business and educator of the year.
