Three athletes from the Morgan Hill Gymnastics Level 5 team
competed in the NorCal State Championships on November 19th and
20th in San Jose.
Three athletes from the Morgan Hill Gymnastics Level 5 team competed in the NorCal State Championships on November 19th and 20th in San Jose. This was the end of a successful season with the girls being ranked among the top gymnasts in Northern California.
Amanda Suniga,12, who is still recovering from an earlier injury, spent her time between events icing her back. Yet, according to Coach Tharien Bramhall, she “toughed it out” and had an impressive showing, taking 6th place in the all around. She medaled in all events and placed in the top ten in four out of five events. Her all around score of 35.875 was her personal best.
Whitney Clement, 10, placed 12th all around in her age group, and Jordan Fedalizo,10, competing in her first state level competition took 15th in the all around.
