Dear Editor,
We see and hear all the sadness and tragedy that has happened since 9-11-01. It has broken our hearts. We thank all who have gone in without a second thought to fight for our freedom and the horrors of what forced us to do so. We are beyond sad for all the lives that were taken in the process of this unimaginable war. Thank you. You will always be in our hearts and never be forgotten.
This week is a very, very happy week for Morgan Hill. We have a Marine coming home after serving not once, but twice in the center of it all. Martin Camacho is coming home. Martin’s first tour lasted five months and he went back a second time for nine months. His family is so happy. Martin’s birthday was Sept. 2, which was spent in Iraq, and he turned 23.
We are decorating Calle Mazatan from Diana Avenue all the way to Calle Cabazel to his home. Our neighbors joining in on the decorating. We want to thank all of you for helping us bring home happiness that only his family can really feel – to be able to hold him and say thank you for his safe return. I, along with everyone I know, want to say thank you to Martin for all he has done over there and to all that are still there.
Lorraine Spencer, Morgan Hil
