Live Oak teniis team division champions.

Live Oak High’s boys tennis team improved to 9-0 overall and clinched the Blossom Valley Athletic League Santa Teresa Division title with a 4-3 home win over Prospect on Thursday.

The Acorns received straight-set victories from Milan Le Ruyet and Andrew Liu at singles, and Dane Cleeton and Mike Renteria, and Geoff Ivie and Justin Schumate at doubles. The league title is believed to be the first for the Acorns since 1997, according to coach Brad Leach.

Live Oak begins singles and doubles division tournament play April 8 at Independence, and the Acorns will play in the Blossom Valley team tourney April 22.
