TAC Fundraising Chairperson Judy Beshears has announced that TAC received a $1,000 grant from the Morgan Hill Rotary Club to help teachers a local schools purchase classroom supplies. It’s estimated teachers spend an average of $600 to $800 a year to purchase the materials.

TAC expressed appreciation to the Morgan Hill Rotary Club for its generosity and especially to Rotarian Rosy Bergin for her encouragement for this grant application. TAC also acknowledged a donation by Patrick and Barbara Campbell.

The Morgan Hill-based Teachers Aid Coalition will be conducting its second classroom supply giveaway for this school year on Feb. 8 at P. A. Walsh Elementary School. This will be the ninth year TAC gathers donations and school supplies to benefit local educators.

TAC is inviting the local community to do a small part in helping the Morgan Hill Unified School District, its teachers and students by making a donation or providing some classroom supplies for the February event.
