This year’s Taste of Morgan Hill will have a new and more centralized location for its Non-Profit Plaza to entice festival goers to learn more about the volunteer organizations in the South Valley community.

The plaza is co-sponsored by the Morgan Hill Community Foundation and Pacific Gas & Electric. It will be set up at the intersection of Fourth and Monterey streets at the downtown festival this weekend to provide easy access to community organizations involved with the environment, charities and social issues.

Last year was the first time the plaza was set up, but it was tucked away in a side street of downtown Morgan Hill that didn’t allow it to get as much pedestrian traffic as the new location will provide, said Daryl Manning, a plaza organizer involved with the foundation.

Non-profit groups that will have booths at the plaza this year include the Morgan Hill Community Foundation, Morgan Hill Centennial Committee, Teacher’s Aid Coalition, Silicon Valley Habitat for Humanity, Morgan Hill Dog Owners Group, San Pedro Ponds Trail Volunteers, Asians for a Better Community, the San Martin 4-H, Silicon Valley Independent Living Center, EHC Lifebuilders, Community Solutions, the American Cancer Society, and the United Way of Santa Clara County.

At 1 p.m. on Saturday, PG&E, will present a check to the Morgan Hill Community Foundation at the plaza stage.
